  • WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM AGES AND AGE CAPS?
    For your child to be ready to join PLG Kids Academy in Fort Lauderdale, they must be two (2) months old by the start date. We offer daycare, preschool, early education, caps and back up care for children 2 month to 5 years old. After school programs and camps are available for children ages 5 to 6 years old.
  • HOW DOES THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS WORK?
    In order to make the enrollment process as easy as possible, please follow the following steps : Review procedures and list of documents. Schedule a tour. Read the parent handbook. Download or request a Registration Packet. . Fill-in the Registration Packet. Submit your application form and all documents needed. Pay registration, uniforms and access key card fees. Attend a parent orientation session and complete registration before starting day. Note: As part of the enrollment process, the Director will schedule a meeting with each new child’s parents to describe our philosophy, conduct a tour, and introduce the staff. The policies and procedures of the program will be reviewed at this time. We also need to receive all the necessary paperwork and registration fees must be paid in full.

  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET REGISTERED?
    Infants to 4 years Olds Full Time $325 Elementary School Age After School $175 Back-up Care $125
  • WHAT IS THE MONTHLY TUITION?
    Infants & Toddlers Full Time $1,300 ($300 per week) Toddlers Full Time $1,170 ($270 per week) 2 Years Olds Full Time $1,105 ($255 per week) 3 Years Olds Full Time $997 ($230 per week) 4 Years Olds and Up Full Time $975 ($230 per week) Special Needs Full Time $1,517 ($350 per week) After School Full Time $910 ($210 per week) Part Time $607 ($140 per week) $25 extra p/Day p/Full Day.   • WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?
    The school year begins in August and ends by June. Tuition fees are paid monthly and are due in advance on the first business day of each month. A late fee of $5.00 per day will be added if payment is not received on time. We accept cash, personal o business checks, money orders, cashier’s check. Please make sure to take a receipt for all cash payments. Registration and all other one-time fees are non refundable. Tuition fee paid for the following two weeks is also non refundable. Full monthly tuition fee is due even if child is absent during all or some days of such month, except for the one month in which the child is taking the “one free week” for vacation per school year. On such month full monthly payment minus one week’s fee will be due. For more information please inquire at the office about our “Vacation Policy”. There are no prorations for National Holidays or Disasters. Additional one-time fees might be collected from children for our “Summer Camp”, “Winter Camp”, “Graduation Ceremony”, and special events including “Fieldtrips”.

  • HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN MY CHILD'S EDUCATION?
    At PLG Kids Academy we believe that well trained staff and a great curriculum will provide children with a great advantage in their education and overall well-being. We encourage parents to share in their child’s excitement for learning. Our program provides many opportunities for parents to get involved at home and in the school. Parents’ interest in their child’s education will be one of the child’s main incentives to continue to learn and grow.
  • WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
    Our preschool and daycare center in Fort Lauderdale offers a full-day preschool and childcare program for children ages 2 months to 5 years old. Our school is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our program operates yearly and follows the school year calendar. We offer Back Up Care, After School program for children ages 5-7 years old, extracurricular activities and camps. PLG KIDS ACADEMY in Fort Lauderdale, FL is licensed for 181 children.
  • DO YOU OFFER GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS?
    Department of Children and Families Licensed. Early Learning Coalition (ELC) Child Care Food Program (Meals Included).
  • WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
    Our school hours are from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Monday through Friday. Under no circumstances school will be open before or after the scheduled times. Parents will be charged $1.00 per minute after 5:30pm.
  • WHAT ARE THE HOLIDAYS? (SCHOOL CLOSED)
    PLG Kids Academy in Fort Lauderdale will be closed in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Eve & New Year's Day Martin Luther King Day Presidents Day Good Friday Memorial Day 4th of July Last Day of Summer Camp (Teacher Planning Day) Labor Day Thanksgiving Day & Day After Thanksgiving Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
  • IS THERE A WAITING LIST?
    Only by registering your child can you reserve a place. You will be given the choice of starting date if you are planning in advance, or you will be given the next starting date, depending on how many families have registered in advance of you. The number of places is limited. Places are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • HOW IS YOUR CURRICULUM?
    Our focus is to provide stimulating early care using a combined curriculum to help children develop a healthy mind as well as a healthy body. We aim to inspire children to be life-long learners and establish a cooperative relationship between parents and staff. Our curriculum encourages curiosity and builds self-confidence. PLG KIDS ACADEMY staff uses the Creative Academic Curriculum as its academic curriculum complemented with the teacher's own ideas and knowledge. This is a year-long curriculum developed specially for toddlers, and preschoolers. This includes a complete program of developmentally appropriate activities based on the child’s age. Activities include science, arts & crafts, computers, math, language, motor skills, dramatic play, cooking, music and much more. Different areas are integrated to make the child’s learning experience meaningful and fun. Our curriculum facilitates the development of the social, emotional, intellectual and physical aspects of the child as a whole. Also, an integrated curriculum enhances the daily experiences of children, meets their individual needs through a program that is creative, self-paced and very educational. To complement our program we also offer a extra-curricular activities, cooking activities, camps and special events.
  • HOW IS THE PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTION?
    We believe that parents, teachers, and children are partners in the educational process and that good, open communication as well as parent participation is essential to the life of our school and the well-being of the children. There are many possibilities for parent involvement: Participation can range from a spontaneous moment of storytelling during the morning transition to more in-depth involvement in a classroom project. Teacher from individual classrooms are best able to discuss possibilities for your participation. Teachers are eager to communicate with the parents and will schedule time for this once a month or at Parent/Teacher Conferences- besides these moments, please feel free to call and leave a message. You can also e-mail us at: info@plgkidsacademy.com If you have a question or a subject to discuss we will call back after class or at an agreed time. Conferring should not take place at dismissal. We appreciate that you do not go to the classrooms in the morning to discuss any matters.
  • IS FOOD PROVIDED DURING PROGRAM?
    We are enrolled on the Child Care Food Program (CCFP), a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks served at participating childcare centers and day care homes. We will be able to provide free meals to your children while in our care. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be included. Please try to give breakfast at home if your child will be dropped off after 8:30am. If you are planning to send any food to feed your child in school, meals should be nutritious and peanut free.
  • WHAT IS THE MEAL TIME SCHEDULE?
    Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Lunch: 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Snacks: 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • WHAT IS YOUR POLICY REGARDING MEDICATIONS?
    Medications cannot be administered without written permission from the parent and a prescription from the doctor. Over the counter medications cannot be administered at all unless the doctor prescribes it in writing. Medications must be delivered at the office during drop off time in order to keep them locked in the medication cabinet. Please bring medication inside a plastic bag, appropriately tagged with name and class. Do not leave medications inside school bags.
